The Final Hooter (2017) - Episode 6

Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson return to talk RL at all professional levels.

They are joined by BBC Merseyside's Alan Rooney to discuss the goings on at St Helens.

We also hear from Sheffield Eagles Mark Aston following the Eagles recent win over London Broncos, Hull's Gareth Ellis after his sides 22-all draw with Warrington, Wolves Kurt Gidley and the final word is from Tony Smith after the Wolves first win of the season.

Dave Parkinson is joined by Loverugbyleague.com supremo James Gordon for the show. The pair discuss the last couple of rounds of Super League and look at the results in the Championship.

Our guest list this episode includes Toronto boss Paul Rowley after his sides 48-21 success over Keighley Cougars, Salford boss Ian Watson and fullback Gareth O'Brien after their Widnes success, St Helens scrum half Matty Smith who made a successful return from injury against Warrington and from the previous round of Super League we hear from Leigh Centurions skipper Micky Higham.

Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson are back talking about the Greatest Game. We start the show by previewing Round Four of the Challenge Cup and chat to Haydock captain Jordan Gibson who tells us about how cup fever has gripped the club and his hopes for the cup game against Oldham.

 

The pair look over the opening couple of rounds in League One and talk about the Kingstone Press Championship. Focus then switches to Super League and we hear from Castleford scrum-half Luke Gale and Wigan stand-off George Williams. We also hear from Leigh boss Neil Jukes, Wigan's Shaun Wane courtesy of Steve Manning and there are the thoughts of Tiger boss Daryl Powell after the latest Castleford success.

The Final Hooter (2017) - Episode 3

Hosts Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson return for their third show of the new season.

It's a varied show this one with audio across the RFL spectrum.

Our main focus in this edition is League One. We hear from James Coyle (Hunslet), Harry Tyson-Wilson (York City Knights, new Keighley Cougars boss Craig Lingard, Lee Greenwood (Gloucestershire All Golds), Paul Crarey (Barrow Raiders) and Mike Grady (North Wales Crusaders).

Dave also chatted to Dewsbury boss Glenn Morrison about the Rams start to the season and we hear from Keiron Cunningham (St Helens), Neil Jukes (Leigh) and Daryl Powell (Castleford).

Adrian and Dave also look ahead to the next round of the Challenge Cup.

This time it's the turn of the Championships to take centre stage despite Adrians best efforts to distract Dave!

We hear from Paul Sykes, John Duffy, Shaun Lunt, Richard Marshall, Daniel Harrison, Alan Kilshaw, Scott Naylor and Ged Corcoran and the lads chat to Radio Yorkshire commentator and Bradford fan Mark Wilson to find out his thoughts on proceedings at Odsal.

It's another packed show and the best way you will spend 47 minutes until the RL starts!

The Final Hooter (2017) - Episode 1

#RugbyLeague is back and so too are Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson with a show packed full of opinion and interviews. 

The boys ventured to the Super League Launch at Leigh Sports Village and made themselves busy.

We hear from Wigan skipper Sean O'Loughlin, Warrington Boss Tony Smith, Widnes player Hep Cahill; catch up with Richie Myler, chat to Neil Jukes, boss of newcomers Leigh. Brian McDermott of Leeds Rhinos gives us his opinion while we also hear from Hull Assistant coach Richard Horne, new Wakefield recruit Scott Grix, Huddersfield Giants Head Coach Rick Stone and we finish the show with Salford Red Devils boss Ian Watson.

The Kingstone Press Championship also got underway last weekend and Dave chatted to London Broncos boss Andrew Henderson following the Broncos close run 26-23 defeat of Swinton Lions

The Final Hooter (2016) Episode 25 - Four Nations Pubcast 5

After their drinks ban last week, Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson embark on their Mad Monday with assistance from The Liverpool Echo RL correspondent John Lawless.

We hear that Dave's RL adventure for 2016 isn't quite over as he and Steve Manning now lock horns in the BARLA Counties Tri-series. Adrian and John give their review of the Anfield food and the panel talk Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Four Nations, PNG and look at a couple of domestic issues.

Adrian chats to PNG legend Stanley Gene, John speaks with Torronto Assistant Coach Simon Finnigan after the Wolfpack announced the signing of Fuifui Moimoi and revealed some more news at the weekend. We also have a coaches corner featuring Mal Meninga (Australia) and David Kidwell (NZ) and hear from respective captains Cameron Smith and Jesse Bromwich.

Dave returns from holiday to discuss the international game with Adrian. They talk Iceland, Workington, London, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia and England s the boys go on their drinks ban.

Adrian chats to Kallum Watkins in the aftermath of the Australia defeat and ahead of the Four Nations Final at Anfield Steve Manning chats with Cooper Cronk (Australia) and Jessie Bromwich (New Zealand). He also catches up with Head coaches Mal Meninga and David Kidwell.

The 4 Nations reached Coventry for a double header and Adrian and Dave reached the pub to decide if it was a success! We hear from Warrington duo Chris Hill and Matty Russell as well as Wayne Bennett and Steve McCormack from the first game. From the 2nd game involving Australia and New Zealand we caught up with Jordan Rapana alongside both coaches and captains.

Dave and Adrian are back at the pub enjoying another pint and a chinwag about the greatest game.

The pair discuss the international action from last weekend and there is a plethora of other voices. We hear from Steve McCormack, Ryan Brierley, Cooper Cronk, Mal Meninga, David Kidwell, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Sam Burgess whilst there is a fascinating insight into a post game press conference with Wayne Bennett.

Dave and Adrian are back with Adrian giving some dodgy facts about the 1996 season (Oldham's ground this year was Watersheddings; Bramley, Prescot Panthers, Chorley and Carlise  were all in the second division) and even this year (Leeds finished SL in 9th spot, not 12th - sorry Rhinos fans).

The pair banter and look back on what they saw were the crucial stories of the last fortnight. There is audio from Leigh Centurions boss Neil Jukes, speaking of the club's elevation to Super League, Wigan Head Coach Shaun Wane following an exciting win at Warrington while Adrian chatted with St Helens prop Alex Walmsley following a hard fought win at Widnes for his team.

With Adrian freshly back from holiday,  Dave takes the reigns and after a dodgy start it gets better!

In this edition of the Final Hooter the boys talk Wembley, we hear from Lee Radford and Tony Smith. Steve Manning chats with Warrington young gun Declan Patton, Dave joins the press pack in the aftermath of Leigh's win at Hull KR. There's audio from a happy Leigh boss Neil Jukes and the boys talk about the rest of the action from the entire Super Eights.

The Final Hooter (2016) Episode 18

Dave Parkinson is joined by Dave Birch for the latest podcast. We hear from Coventry Bears boss Tom Tsang after a historic victory. There is also audio from James Webster (Hull KR) and Ian Watson (Salford) speaking after the pivotal Qualifiers game between the two sides.

We also hear from Leigh boss Neil Jukes after the Centurions latest win at Featherstone and Tony Smith after Warrington's last gasp win over Castleford. Our hosts run through the competitions and look forward to the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final between the Wolves and Warrington.
