They also look forward to next round of the Coral Challenge and we hear from Daryl Powell, Tom Lineham and Matty Smith with Dave rounding things off with a special interview with head of the England Lionhearts programme Stuart Prior.

Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson are back with their usual mix of rugby league banter, news, views, opinion and interviews. From the opening couple of rounds of Super League we hear from Adrian Lam (Wigan), Kristian Woolf (St Helens) and Steve Price (Warrington). Stefan Ratchford (Warrington) tells us where things are going right and Adrian chats with Widnes skipper Jack Owens after the Vikings success over Batley. 

Dave and Adrian run the rule over what's happening, the name of storms, BetFred Championship and Coral Challenge Cup.

The Final Hooter 2020 - Episode One 15.01.2020

The first Final Hooter podcast of 2020 has arrived with Dave Parkinson once again pairing with Adrian Jackson to host.

 

Both talk about Rugby League reaching 125 years old and Dave ventured to the RFL Launch event at Huddersfield where he caught up with John Duffy (Leigh Centurions), Sylvain Houles (Toulouse), Dec O'Donnell (Workington) and Bob Beswick (Newcastle). We also hear from reigning Woman of Steel Courtney Hill as she readies herself for another season with Leeds Rhinos.

 

Our pair talk about the retirees from 2019 and look at the new faces that will grace the Super League in 2020.

 

Steve Manning ventured to the St Helens Media day, there he spoke with Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Lachlan Coote and Kyle Amor.

 

Meanwhile Adrian went to the Warington Media day where he spoke with Steve Price, Joe Philbin and new man Anthony Gelling.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 26

Adrian and Dave get together for the first time in a couple of weeks to look back at the play-offs. The pair discuss the Salford rise, Wigan fall, Toronto winning their way to Super League, disappointment at Toulouse, Oldham joy and Newcastle heartache amongst other things.

We look forward to the Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final and we have an interview with Leeds Rhinos boss Adam Cuthbertson. 

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 24

In a change from their usual format Dave and Adrian take the chatty route, bantering and nattering about the Challenge Cup Final and the 1895 Cup Final before concentrating on the league and looking forward to the last two weeks of the season. 

They also cast a cursory eye on goings-on in the Championship and League One.

Dave is in musical mood and looking forward to the finals with his plans from home while Adrian lets Widnes getting to this stage of the inaugural 1895 Cup Final get to his head.

He risks upsetting Canadian and Welsh folk alike and we have a discussion about silver salvers.

Amid the banter there are a few Challenge Cup memories and previous matches thrown in, a whirlwind look around the leagues and Steve Manning was our man posing the questions as we hear from Justin Holbrook, Steve Price, Johnny Lomax and Toby King.

We hear from Richard Marshall about life at St Helens, he previews the Challenge Cup Semi-Finals. We also hear from Simon Grix following Halifax big win over Widnes. Ian Watson and Daryl Powell both give their thoughts after wins against Warrington for Salford and Castleford respectively. 

We look back at League One, mention Toronto's trophy and Dave chatted to England Youth Coach Danny Wilson after their 36-12 win over France and Wigan Women's Kris Ratcliffe after his sides 20-16 win at Bradford.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Super League Preview

In their second podcast ahead f the new season Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson look forward to the new Super League campaign.

The Final Hooter (2018) - Episode 19 - Wembley Reflections

Episode 19 of the Final Hooter sees us concentrate on the big result from Wembley.

Adrian Jackson and Steve Manning were hard at work getting interviews for the show while Dave Parkinson watched from home with drinks and munchies and praises the BBC's presentation of the final.

Both Dave and Adrian look back at the 1945-46 season and reflect on the final, Wembley and the joy of winning. Adrian spills the beans on Wembley security protocols and we hear from Iestyn Harris, Steve Price, Steve McNamara, Tony Gigot, Michael McIllorum and Remi Casty.

Daves goes through the fixtures ahead of this weekend and our final word contains an interesting interview that Barrow Raiders boss Paul Crarey gave to Dave a few days ago.
