The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 18

On this latest episode of The Final Hooter Dave and Adrian are joined by Swinton Chairman Andy Mazey to discuss Manchester developments and the game outside of Super League.

We also hear from Justin Holbrook, chatting about the departure of Sean Long from St Helens with Steve Manning.

Adrian caught up with Warrington hooker Daryl Clark and Widnes second row Chris Dean following recent successes and we also hear from Doncaster boss Richard Horne and Barrow Head Coach Paul Crarey.

We also have an honorable mention for St Helens amateur club Haydock who have got another former St Helens player back involved with Rugby League.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 17

After a three-week break Dave and Adrian are back.

They go through the results, talk Summer Bash, Magic Weekend, Barcelona, Coral Women's Challenge Cup and Lancashire BARLA tour of Serbia.

Both also pay tribute to the late Maurice Bamford and Quentin Pongia.

This episode we hear from Bryson Goodwin after Warrington defeated Wigan in the Coral Challenge Cup, John Duffy following Leigh Centurions win over Widnes at the Summer Bash, Justin Holbrook about St Helens form, Theo Fages and his own future, Castleford Women's boss Linsay Anfield about their win over Featherstone and Lancashire BARLA boss Mick Blakeley.

There's the usual banter with Dave trying to effect a Prescot accent at one point.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 16

This episode, Adrian gives Dave a fanfare after Dave's appearance on the 1895 and Coral Women's Challenge Cup Draws. 

We hear from Castleford Tigers Women Head Coach Lindsay Anfield after the Tigers 27-0defeat of Leeds Rhinos, their first success in five meetings.

There is a chat about the Women's game.

Dave also speaks to Chris Thorman about his return to Rugby League and Workington Town.

Lee Greenwood gives Adrian his verdict following Dewsbury Rams surprise success at Widnes.

Steve Manning chats with Justin Holbrook about St Helens form, Kevin Naiqama and Aaron Smith signing an extended contract.

Adrian speaks to Steve Price about the Easter programme and Daryl Clark signing his new deal.

There is the usual chat and banter and our final word is with Workington centre Perry Singleton who tells us about Town's team spirit, his route through the amateur game and playing against his brother.

Adrian and Dave, amazed by an all-new opening to the podcast chat about Easter this year.

John Duffy gives an exasperated response to the Easter period and picking up a home win over Dewsbury Rams, a success that came at a cost for Leigh.

Steve Manning had our last word with St Helens Head coach Justin Holbrook after a near flawless Easter where the Saints registered 98 points in two games.

Dave Parkinson sails the ship alone, guiding us through the rugby league waters for another episode. He looks at the three professional/semi-professional divisions in the UK, rounds up the Challenge Cup results and looks forward to the coming round.

We hear from Justin Holbrook, in conversation with Steve Manning after St Helens Round 8 win over Hull Kingston Rovers.

Adrian Jackson chats to Steve Price after Warrington's 48-12 success over London Broncos and then speaks to Joe Philbin who recently signed a new contract with the club.

We also hear from Matt Diskin with the Batley Bulldogs Head Coach giving reaction to their impressive home win over Widnes and Dave chats to a less than impressed Leigh Centurions boss John Duffy after they beat a spirited Barrow.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 7

Adrian Jackson and Dave Parkinson host a podcast that was recorded on 26/2/19.

We bring what was known about the situation at Widnes at time of recording. Liverpool Echo Journalist John Lawless joins us on the phone for a chat. Administrator Peter O'Hara and Widnes Phil Finney both speak from the press conference last week.

Steve Manning saw St Helens defeat Leeds and we hear from their boss, Justin Holbrook.

Here we present another "First, last and everything" interview, profiling the rugby league career of former Doncaster and Sheffield hooker Craig Cook, a man that started his professional career with Hull and also played spells in Australia and France.

 

He was top scorer with Hull Dockers last term and also talks about pre-season training ahead of the new NCL season with Dave Parkinson.

Steve Manning chats to Justin Holbrook of St Helens after their Round One win over Wigan and caught up with Leeds boss David Furner, doing it tough after a couple of games this year.
