The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 18

On this latest episode of The Final Hooter Dave and Adrian are joined by Swinton Chairman Andy Mazey to discuss Manchester developments and the game outside of Super League.

We also hear from Justin Holbrook, chatting about the departure of Sean Long from St Helens with Steve Manning.

Adrian caught up with Warrington hooker Daryl Clark and Widnes second row Chris Dean following recent successes and we also hear from Doncaster boss Richard Horne and Barrow Head Coach Paul Crarey.

We also have an honorable mention for St Helens amateur club Haydock who have got another former St Helens player back involved with Rugby League.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 17

After a three-week break Dave and Adrian are back.

They go through the results, talk Summer Bash, Magic Weekend, Barcelona, Coral Women's Challenge Cup and Lancashire BARLA tour of Serbia.

Both also pay tribute to the late Maurice Bamford and Quentin Pongia.

This episode we hear from Bryson Goodwin after Warrington defeated Wigan in the Coral Challenge Cup, John Duffy following Leigh Centurions win over Widnes at the Summer Bash, Justin Holbrook about St Helens form, Theo Fages and his own future, Castleford Women's boss Linsay Anfield about their win over Featherstone and Lancashire BARLA boss Mick Blakeley.

There's the usual banter with Dave trying to effect a Prescot accent at one point.

The Final Hooter 2019 - Episode 16

This episode, Adrian gives Dave a fanfare after Dave's appearance on the 1895 and Coral Women's Challenge Cup Draws. 

We hear from Castleford Tigers Women Head Coach Lindsay Anfield after the Tigers 27-0defeat of Leeds Rhinos, their first success in five meetings.

There is a chat about the Women's game.

Dave also speaks to Chris Thorman about his return to Rugby League and Workington Town.

Lee Greenwood gives Adrian his verdict following Dewsbury Rams surprise success at Widnes.

Steve Manning chats with Justin Holbrook about St Helens form, Kevin Naiqama and Aaron Smith signing an extended contract.

Adrian speaks to Steve Price about the Easter programme and Daryl Clark signing his new deal.

There is the usual chat and banter and our final word is with Workington centre Perry Singleton who tells us about Town's team spirit, his route through the amateur game and playing against his brother.

Adrian and Dave, amazed by an all-new opening to the podcast chat about Easter this year.

Is it time to knock two games on the head? Dave doesn't think so and Adrian takes the opposite view.

John Duffy gives an exasperated response to the Easter period and picking up a home win over Dewsbury Rams, a success that came at a cost for Leigh.

Steve Manning had our last word with St Helens Head coach Justin Holbrook after a near flawless Easter where the Saints registered 98 points in two games.

Dave Parkinson hosts a Final Hooter special, one of two Easter podcasts, concentrating on the dual feat of Thatto Heath Crusaders winning the BARLA National Cup while also fighting on to a fifth-round Coral Challenge Cup game against BetFred Championship team Dewsbury Rams.

Dave chats to Thatto scrum-half Bobbie Goulding about the Dewsbury game and being with the club while BARLA Vice-chair and Love Rugby League friend Steve Manning has a lengthy interview with Mike Woods, who scored in Thatto's last BARLA National Cup success and is now coach of the North West Mens League team. It gives a good insight.

We also chat with James Ford about York City Knights excellent win over Leigh Centurions, Harrison Hansen on reaching 400 games not out and the "trying times" at Widnes, while Warrington's Ben Currie scrummed down with a group of RL journalists after making his comeback against Castleford Tigers.
